# Most Successful Riders:
The Japanese MotoGP started its journey in 1963 and since then we are considering the winners’ history. When we look at the previous winners’ record, we can see that the Spanish rider Marc Marquez has won the highest number of titles in the racing event. That makes him the most successful rider in the tournament. Marc won the highest three MotoGP titles which were in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Yes, the Italian rider Valentino Rossi also won the MotoGP competition three times so far.
