The most popular sports event in the world, the FIFA World Cup’s 22nd edition will take place in 2022. Middle East country Qatar will host it’s first ever FIFA global event. With this edition, the biggest carnival will come back to the Asia after 20 years since the Korea and the Japan edition. The festival will begin on 21st November, 2022. After a month of football fest, the show will say it’s good bye on the 18th December which is also the National Qatar Day. 12 Venues from 8 different cities will host the 64 matches of this WC. # 2022 FIFA World Cup Stadiums:
#Al-Gharafa Stadium:
Located at the Al-Rayyan city. Qatar Olympic Committee / Government is the owner of this venue. Al-Gharafa is one of the twelve 2022 FIFA World Cup stadiums as we speak. It will arrange some group matches but won’t have the privilege to host any knock out phase fixtures.
#Al-Khor Stadium:

You can certainly guess the name of the city in which it belongs to it’s name. It will host a number of matches. With some group matches to start, it will also arrange round of 16 as well as quarter final clashes.
# Education City Stadium:
Another Al-Rayyan city-based venue. It has a seating capacity of just over 45 thousands. It will host the group matches along with round of 16 games.
# Khalifa International Stadium:
One of the most beautiful stadiums not only in Qatar but also in the world. It has such an amazing look that will make you fall in love for sure. The Al-Rayyan based venue has a seating capacity of 50 thousands. This gorgeous looking ground will host group round, round of 16, quarter final fixtures. More importantly, it will host one of the two semifinals.
# Qatar University Stadium:
Another Doha based ground. It will arrange some group round matches along with round of 16 fixtures. The arena has a simple looking outside.
# Sports City Stadium:
Located at the Doha, the capital city of Qatar. This field will arrange some of the group round matches. It will also host the 3rd place play off. The two losing semifinalists will take on each other before the final game of the tournament.
# Umm Slal Stadium:
Located at the Umm Slal City. The beautiful ground will host group round matches, round of 16 clashes as well as quarter final fixtures.
# Lusail Iconic Stadium:
Here comes the biggest as well as the most gorgeous looking stadium. This ground does have a stunningly amazing view. One of the most beautiful stadiums in the planet. Located at the Al-Daayen city. This spectacular venue will host the opening match of the tournament. It will also arrange group round, round of 16, quarter final matches along with a semifinal. But most importantly, this stadium will host the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022. As I have mentioned ealier, it is the largest venue with the seating capacity of 80 thousands.
